Emory Pharmacy Residency Programs


Emory Healthcare offers multiple residency programs for PharmD graduates who want to pursue specialized training. Our varied pharmacy residency programs allow you to focus on an area of interest and hone your skills as an independent practitioner and integral member of multidisciplinary health care teams. Regardless of the path you take, you’ll find a residency at Emory Healthcare that prepares you for roles in clinical pharmacy, research and academics, board certification or further training.

Four Emory Healthcare hospitals host pharmacy residency programs

Emory University Hospital - (EUH) is the flagship academic medical center of Emory Healthcare with 733 beds. EUH offers a post-graduate year one (PGY-1) residency and post-graduate year two (PGY-2) residencies in critical care, infectious diseases, internal medicine, and solid organ transplantation. EUH also offers a nutrition support fellowship.

Emory University Hospital Midtown - (EUHM) is a 532-bed tertiary care center that provides care in 28 specialties. EUHM offers a PGY-1 residency and PGY-1 specialty residency, and PGY-2 residencies in ambulatory care, infectious diseases, and oncology. EUHM also offers a PGY-1/2 residency in health system administration and leadership.

Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital - (ESJH) is Atlanta’s first faith-based and longest-serving hospital. Emory Saint Joseph’s offers a PGY-1 residency.

Emory Decatur Hospital - (EDH) is a community hospital that has served Decatur for more than 50 years. Emory Decatur offers a PGY-1 residency.

  • Outreach to pharmacy schools with high percentages of underrepresented students in the profession of pharmacy
  • Outreach to professional pharmacy student organizations that support underrepresented students
  • Utilizing objective rubric for a holistic application review

Residency Program

How to Apply

Emory Healthcare’s pharmacy residency programs require you to enroll in the ASHP matching program. You will submit all required information via PhORCAS by the posted deadline. Refer to each hospital’s program page for specific application requirements. The Nutrition Support Pharmacy Fellowship at Emory University Hospital does not require ASHP enrollment. Application documents should be submitted via email.
